Seylan Bank PLC (Sinhala: සෙලාන් බැංකුව Selan Bankuwa) is a publicly owned Commercial Bank in Sri Lanka. It has branches both in urban as well as rural areas of Sri Lanka. Seylan bank had 167 banking centres island wide, 3000 staff members, an ATM network of 205 units covering crucial locations, 9 branches providing 365 day banking in 2020. The bank was formed as a licensed commercial bank which was incorporated with a shareholder base.
Seylan Bank was incorporated on 28 August 1987 as a Public Limited Liability Company and founder chairman was Dr. Lalith Kotelawala. It established its first subsidiary, Seylan Merchant Bank Limited, in 1992. A second subsidiary, Ceylinco Seylan Development Limited was also established in 1992, primarily for the purpose of constructing the Bank's head office building, Ceylinco Seylan Towers.
Seylan Bank introduced Sri Lanka's first homegrown credit card and they also had a partnership deal with Western Union which is a global money transfer system.
NETWORK AND SECURITY ENGINEER - IT INFRASTRUCTURE
The Job
- Manage all network and security related products and ensure system confidentiality, Integrity and availability.
- Identifying current and emerging technology issues including information security trends, vulnerabilities & threat landscape and take necessary actions to proactively address to mitigate them.
- Configure, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade the entire network and security solution.
- Carryout day-to-day operations to maintain superior uptime of the IT systems.
- Perform disaster recovery operations.
- Manage, configure and troubleshoot DNS and DHCP servers.
- Design and implement new network technology to securely deliver business applications.
The Person
- Minimum 6 years of experience in banking /IT of which 3 years in system administration.
- Degree in computer science or related filed and CCNA, Cisco CCNP, Fortinet NSE certifications, SD-WAN, Linux, and WAF related certifications would be an added advantage.
- Experience in firewall, routers, switches, IPS/IDS, IPsec VPN, Web application firewall technologies/ LAN /WAN technologies/ configuring and managing the network monitoring tools.
- Very good understanding and experience in different routing protocols, QoS, traffic shaping, L2 / L3 technologies an protocols.
- Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
- Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
